Can AI automatically organize incoming client tax documents (PDFs from email and TaxCaddy) into workpapers by client, year, and category?

3:49From the June 16 call · Workpaper Automation, 7216 Questions, and Claude for Bookkeeping

This was raised as a major desired use case: taking PDFs from email and TaxCaddy and organizing them into a firm's share drive by client, year, and category, and even building tick-and-tie workpapers automatically (e.g., summing multiple 1099s). The group's response focused mainly on the privacy/PII barrier to this (see 7216 discussion) rather than providing a concrete build. No specific tool or workflow was confirmed as already solving this end-to-end in this segment; it was framed as an open goal firms are working toward, contingent on solving the PII scrubbing problem first.
