Automation & MCP Open question — the Lab is working on this
Why does Claude sometimes suggest steps or features in a software platform (like Canopy) that don't actually exist or aren't possible?

A member noted that Claude doesn't fully know the actual functionality of certain platforms, calling it 'hit or miss.' It will sometimes direct you to perform an action that isn't actually a supported function in the tool, and you only discover this after going through the steps. This was experienced repeatedly with Canopy. The general takeaway offered was that Claude tends to get you 'in the ballpark' on platform-specific tasks but doesn't reliably deliver a fully correct, actionable result every time.
